BEAM Play Studio creates imaginative, hands-on kids programs in Calgary where art, STEAM, sensory exploration, building and pretend play collide.

Beam is where art, science, sensory play, building and big imaginary worlds unite.
Kids might engineer a cardboard city. Mix potions at an imaginary market. Test a wild invention. Paint something enormous. Build a restaurant for creatures that don’t exist. Explore light, colour, motion or sound. Or turn a pile of ordinary materials into an entire imaginary world.
At Beam, STEAM gives kids things to wonder about. Art gives them ways to express it. Pretend play gives their ideas somewhere to go. And play ties the whole thing together.
