Welcome to BEAM Play Studio. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of our website, online store, camps, classes, events, products, and services.

By visiting our website or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Refund / Cancellation Policy, and any camp-specific forms, waivers, or policies provided during registration or purchase.

If you do not agree, please do not use our website or purchase from our store.

1. About Us

BEAM Play Studio is operated by Beam Ventures Inc.

Beam Play Studio is a play-led creative program for school-aged children and their families. We design pop-up experiences where kids learn through pretend play, hands-on making, and meaningful connections. Our purpose is simple. Give kids a place to practice being curious, brave, and kind, and to leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.

2. Eligibility

By making a purchase or completing a registration, you confirm that:

  • you are at least the age of majority in your province or territory, or
  • you are the parent or legal guardian of the child being registered, or are authorized to register them on their behalf.

You also confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Orders and Registrations

When you place an order through our website, you are requesting to purchase a product, camp, or service from us.

Camp purchases may require additional registration steps after checkout, including:

  • camper information
  • emergency contact details
  • health information
  • waiver acknowledgement
  • policy agreement

A camp registration is not fully complete until all required information and forms have been submitted.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order or registration if:

  • a program is full
  • required information is missing
  • payment is not completed
  • we believe a registration cannot be safely or reasonably accommodated in the program as offered

 4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.

You agree to pay the full amount shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes and fees.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, product descriptions, or other mistakes at any time.

5. Camp Participation

Participation in a BEAM camp may require:

  • completion of a registration form
  • agreement to camp policies
  • agreement to a waiver and release of liability
  • emergency contact and medical information

Parents and guardians are responsible for providing complete and accurate information and for updating us if anything changes before camp begins.

We may remove or decline participation where necessary for safety, wellbeing, operational reasons, or if required forms and information are not completed.

6. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds, cancellations, transfers, and credits are subject to our Refund / Cancellation Policy and any camp-specific terms shared at the time of purchase.

Please review those policies carefully before purchasing.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Alberta’s internet-sales rules require certain pre-sale disclosures and a copy of the contract after it is formed, so your refund and purchase terms should stay easy to find before and after checkout. 

7. Website Content

All content on this website, including text, images, branding, graphics, logos, and designs, belongs to BEAM Play Studio or is used with permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without our written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

If you provide information about a child or family member, you confirm that you are authorized to do so for registration and participation purposes.

 9. Communications

By making a purchase or submitting a registration, you agree that we may contact you about your order, registration, schedule changes, required forms, safety matters, or other service-related updates.

If you choose to subscribe to marketing emails, you may unsubscribe at any time.

 10. Changes to Programs or Website

We may update our website, pricing, schedules, camp details, policies, or these Terms from time to time.

We also reserve the right to make reasonable changes to camp programming, staffing, locations, or schedules where needed. 

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BEAM Play Studio is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of our website, store, or services.

Camp-related risks, liability releases, and medical consent are addressed separately in our camp waiver and registration materials.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law. Shopify notes that you are still responsible for making sure your store complies with applicable laws, and Alberta consumer protections still apply. 

 12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable in Alberta.

Any disputes relating to these Terms or your use of our website or services will be handled in Alberta.
